We exist to provide the highest standard of professional and expedient pre-hospital emergency medical care. This care is rendered to the community-at-large on a non-discriminatory basis to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age or handicap. Our employees, officers and crewmembers, maintain the highest level of patient care through continuing education in the most modern medical techniques and through constant training with state of the art equipment.
HANCO EMS maintains that we are not the sole entity in pre-hospital care. We see ourselves as members of the entire medical team seeking not only to save lives but also to improve the quality of those lives and those suffering from illness or accident.

Help us Help You
Do what you can for the patient and wait for our arrival
Turn
on the porch lights and as many other lights as possible, especially
if it is dark. Send someone out to the road to await our arrival.
This will help us identify your house if your address is not clearly
marked on the house or mailbox. If in a vehicle, consider turning on
the four way flashers. The more lights. the easier we will locate
you. If the furniture in the house is in the way of where we need to
roll our ambulance cot, and if it is possible to move it without
injuring yourself, please move it. Do your best to clear the area
where the patient is located and await our speedy arrival. If you
have any dogs running loose, please secure them.
Upon our arrival
Stay
calm and be ready to answer any questions related to the condition
of the patient. If you have any written instructions or information
from the doctor or hospital relating to the patient, it would be
helpful to have it at hand.
Once we have left
Rest
assured the patient will receive quality pre-hospital care by our
very well trained professionals. Make any necessary telephone calls,
gather your things and drive to the hospital. Do not drive if your
are upset! Have a friend or relative drive you there. Often upset
drivers tend to drive too fast and become the subject of traffic
crashes. We have seen this happen often and do not want to see it
happen to you!
